If you are trying to upload photos/videos and the upload is failing, follow these troubleshooting steps.

  • Retry with a smaller number of photos/videos.
  • Disconnect from wifi and retry using your device's data connection.
  • Verify that your PhotoCircle app is updated to the latest version via the App Store or Google Play.
  • Ensure that your phone's operating system is up to date.
  • Disconnect from any VPN you are running on your device and retry.
  • Disable any ad blockers or content filtering you may have enabled.
  • Check if any new security software was recently installed on your device or, if on a work device, any changes were made to your corporate MDM profile. This may be blocking your connection.
  • Select the photos/videos directly from your phone's gallery, choose share, and PhotoCircle as the sharing destination.

Additional settings on iPhone can also impact uploads.

Settings to Disable

  • Low Power Mode
  • Low Data Mode (Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data Options).
  • Private Relay (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Private Relay).

Settings to Enable

  • Background App Refresh (Settings → General → Background App Refresh (global) or Settings → General → Background App Refresh → PhotoCircle)
  • Cellular Data (Settings → Cellular → PhotoCircle)
